Richard and Sarah Matlock from La Robeline are artisan cider makers and distillers and are passionate about good quality, local produce. They make their “Cidre Bouchee”, “L’Esprit d’Jerri”, “Le Pommin” and Cider vinegar from local apples and nothing else. Their famously delicious sausages are made by Sarah and Richard to their own recipe from Dingley Dell pork and their simple yet secret blend of seasoning – that’s it! The shell fish for The Boat is either hand dived in local waters or comes from the adjacent coast of France, when in season. They take their Cider Shack and Sausage Hut to many local events throughout the year and also do private parties and functions. The Boat is a new addition to the fleet and has accompanied the Cider Shack and Sausage Hut to some festivals during the latter part of 2018, with great success. Since it’s launch in July, there have been several private events, some with just The Boat, others with the whole fleet. Gratifyingly, the hosts of the private functions have been very complimentary about both the food and service they have received.
