“It is so close and so accessible, a haven in the British Isles, spend 35 minutes on a plane and suddenly arrive in a beautiful picturesque place with white sand dunes and food and tourism to envy some of the best places in the world. That is a huge draw for events in Jersey.”
Dr Tessa Hartmann, founded Hartmann House with her husband Sascha some eighteen years ago. Based in Jersey but operating between London and Glasgow, Hartmann House is an innovative addition to the Jersey business community, most recently launching the Jersey Style Awards.
Accolades from the Institute of Public Relations Pride Awards, Public Relations Excellence Awards and Scottish Event Awards have earned the agency the reputation as an authority on fashion, lifestyle & entertainment with a client base that includes some of the world’s most luxurious and most sought after high street brands. The ambition of Hartmann House is to bring that expertise to Jersey to an ever growing and exciting retail market place.
Tessa is a regular commentator on national broadcast radio and television in her position as an authority on strategic branding. She has written for The Sunday Times, was former Fashion Editor at Large for Sunday Herald and she also contributed significantly to the recent Scottish independence debate supporting the Better Together campaign and featuring regularly across BBC and Sky News.
In 2006 the company set up the now globally renowned Scottish Fashion Awards, which scooped ‘Best Event of the Year’ at the Scottish Event Awards 2014 for the second year running, and in the Spring of 2014 the company launched a new digital platform entitled Caledonista.com.
It is their ambition to bring that expertise to Jersey and to create dynamic new events and platforms, which would in turn lead to increased retail activity, brand enhancement for the island and also have a positive impact on Jersey as the destination of choice.
