On 6th February this year Her Majesty The Queen will become the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, marking 70 years of service to the people of the United Kingdom, the Realms and the Commonwealth.
The four days of celebrations will include public events and community activities, as well as national moments of reflection on The Queen’s 70 years of service.
The United Kingdom’s long tradition of celebrating Royal Jubilees, Weddings and Coronations with the lighting of beacons will be continued to mark the Platinum Jubilee. Over 1,500 beacons will be lit throughout the United Kingdom, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and UK Overseas Territories.

St. Helier Marina and Weighbridge Place
First staged in 2008, the Barclays Jersey Boat Show remains the largest free-entry public event in the Channel Islands, regularly attracting in excess of 30,000+ visitors over the three days. The show will once again feature activity both on and off the water with a multitude of yachts and motor boats to view in St Helier Marina, displays and demonstrations in the Outdoor & Active Zone, a range of marine and lifestyle exhibitors, as well as catering concessions along the quayside and a full music entertainment programme on the Solent Stevedores Main Stage in Weighbridge Place.
The annual show is organised by Ports of Jersey, working alongside local events specialists, 3D Events. Exhibitor registration, including catering concessions are now open with an ‘Early Bird’ booking rate available until Friday 28 January 2022.

The Watersplash
Jersey’s favourite surf festival, Good Vibrations, returns to officially kick off the Summer from Friday 24 until Sunday 26 June 2022. The event, hosted in aid of Mind Jersey, encourages attendees to dig out some retro ‘fits and head down to the Watersplash Jersey for a day of sunshine, music and good vibes. Activities on the day include Surf Competitions, Beach 5 a side football, volleyball, workshops and much more.

Awakening Festival is unique wellness festival that will welcome some of the UK’s top “wellbeing gurus” to host workshops, activities and live music. The line-up includes leading nutritionist, Rhiannon Lambert, ex rugby player and mind & movement mentor, Richie Norton, and celebrity artists such as Goldie Rocks, Howard Donaldson (Take That) and Rob Da Bank (Bestival co-founder and DJ).

The Jersey Triathlon is the most Southerly triathlon of the British Isles and one of the most exciting, challenging and picturesque courses in Britain. The event is centred around Jersey’s waterfront in St Helier, providing seamless transitions from swim to bike and bike to run. The popular course hosted the Jersey 2015 Island Games triathlon event and the 2021 event will follow a near identical course.
The Jersey Triathlon now operates with four different race categories, thus offering a distance for all levels of ability to participate. The largest of the races remains the ‘Standard’ distance, but the event also has a ‘Super Sprint distance and a ‘Jersey Sprint’ distance, which is a variation on the normal Sprint distance (where bikes course is a longer 40km). The event also operates a multi distance Junior Triathlon on the same day.

Victoria Avenue
Enjoy the spectacle of flower festooned floats, musicians, dancers and entertainers providing a tremendous atmosphere in the Grand Day Parade. First staged in 1902 in celebration of a Royal Coronation, The Jersey Battle of Flowers has grown over the past century to become one of the largest floral carnivals in Europe, and is without doubt, a major highlight in Jersey’s calendar of festivals and events.

Victoria Avenue
Carnival comes to Victoria Avenue at night. The same floats that featured in the day parade are out in force again, festooned with thousands of illuminations to give a truly magical experience. Depending on weather conditions the moonlight parade comes to a close with a firework display set over St Aubin’s bay. The atmosphere is electric.

Jersey Regatta is the flagship event in the Island’s busy sailing programme, designed to provide fun and excitement for all sailors be they regular racers or novices, locally based or visiting. Cruiser, Quarter Ton, sports-boat, dayboat, dinghy, sport catamaran and windsurfer classes race in the beautiful arena of St. Aubin’s Bay and in the Island’s coastal waters.

St. Aubin's Bay
Jersey’s St. Aubin’s Bay transforms into a natural amphitheatre during the International Air Display, producing sights and sounds of military and civilian aircrafts from around the world. The skies above have enjoyed an annual display for over 63 years, delighting and attracting many tens of thousands of local residents and visitors to enjoy one of the most eagerly anticipated events in Jersey’s Summer programme of activities. Coupled with the fact it is also one of the finest free air shows in Europe.

2022 will be a special celebration as it marks the 50th anniversary since the first LGBTQ+ protests took place in London.

The Corn Riots Harvest Festival, also known as La Folle d’Avoût, brings the French Festival and the Fête du Jèrriais into a wider programme of events.
Plans for 2022 are yet be confirmed, however we can expect a weekend of celebrations commemorating the major legislative reform that transformed society in Jersey. In 2020 the programme of events included a culinary and craft market in Beresford Street and Halkett Street; musical, theatrical and film shows in the Royal Square; exhibitions; talks; dance workshops; an inter-parish pétanque tournament; and a parade from Trinity Church to the Royal Square.

Weighbridge, St. Helier
Standard Chartered Jersey Marathon is “a small race, with a very big atmosphere” as a firm fixture in islanders’ calendars, all runners can expect huge support from local residents around the entire route.
The race is split into three categories, Marathon, Relay Race and 3K Fun Run, attracting over 2,500 entrants with over 60% of marathon runners coming from off-island. The event welcomes a variety of runner types, elite athletes compete for prize money and times, while corporate teams vie for the prestige of winning the trophy and many others compete to do something truly amazing for the benefit of others. The event starts and finishes in the Weighbridge area, in the heart of St. Helier, Jersey’s capital. Crossing the finish line in Jersey is a special occasion, with large crowds and full media presence, runners can expect a thunderous reception as they complete the course.
