Jersey’s well-established finance industry and growing digital sector came together for a successful Artificial Intelligence Retreat in the island. Cognitive Finance Group organised the retreat in conjunction with Digital Jersey, the body tasked with growing the island’s digital sector.
As Jersey is easily accessible from the UK and Europe and with an established reputation as an international finance centre, it was a natural choice for the event. The large number of world class finance professionals based in the island, provided an excellent resource for knowledge sharing.
Modern luxury accommodation was required for the invitation only gathering of internationally renowned experts, and Jersey’s unique ability to be able to provide a transition from conference room to beach in just a few minutes, provided the right mix of business and pleasure. Delegates enjoyed a beach barbecue in a stunning location less than 20 minutes after leaving the meeting room.
At just 45 square miles, but with a microcosm of a much larger country, delegates were also able to spend more time at the conference and less time travelling between airport and venues.
The feedback from both our international visitors and our local attendees, was very positive. Delegates were able to focus on the conference and spend more time networking as well as appreciating Jersey’s unique culture and scenery – minus traffic jams.
